As the company explains, true-to-life instant trials of products makes the shopping experience a lot easier for people, so they’re better able to conveniently discover and experiment with various products, just with a few little taps on their smartphones.

And last year, big name brand L’Oreal announced that it would also be using the YouCam makeup app to its own advantage. Makeup collections can be virtually experienced so people can learn about products and either purchase through the app or in-store.

Chief digital officer at L’Oreal Lubomira Rochet said: “Virtual make up, livestreaming, augmented reality shopping are key features in a modern beauty journey that mixes online and offline. These services delight our consumers and increase conversion rates for our brands.”
