Have You Tried YouCam Yet?

Keeping one step ahead of the competition has always been important in business but never more so now that we have the internet making it so much easier to make your content discoverable and put products, goods and services in front of the consumer.

As challenging as it is to run a business nowadays, technology can also help us be really innovative in what we do and how we interact with people. One tool that you might not yet have leveraged for your own benefit yet is Cyberlink YouCam, a fun little program that allows you to make excellent use of effects and addons for your webcam.

It uses a virtual driver that works with most webcam devices and messaging software, allowing you to add effects to video like avatars, filters and particles, emoticons, frames, distortions and more. You can also add accessory effects like hats and masks, place your images in fun scenes, use the Burst feature to take quick photos and a whole lot more.

With YouCam 7, you can take advantage of more than 200 fun effects for video chats and recordings to really help transform your online presence in the future.

If you’re wondering how to go about using it, take a look at Cosmopolitan magazine and its recent beauty-based collaboration with YouCam.

Parent company Hearst says that Cosmo has over 81 million monthly beauty-focused consumers across its print and digital platforms, Digiday reports.

Discussing the use of YouCam with the publication, senior vice-president, publisher and chief revenue officer Donna Kalajian Lagani explained: “The YouCam makeup try-on amplifies the beauty experience. It gets our Cosmo reader to actually connect more with her favourite products and products she is interested in learning more about.”

Another company you might look to for inspiration in this regard is Amway, a marketing health and beauty company, which is also using YouCam Makeup’s augmented reality beauty try-ons for their beauty brand Artistry. This allows them to connect and engage with both its sales force and members of the general public in an entirely new way.

As the company explains, true-to-life instant trials of products makes the shopping experience a lot easier for people, so they’re better able to conveniently discover and experiment with various products, just with a few little taps on their smartphones.

And last year, big name brand L’Oreal announced that it would also be using the YouCam makeup app to its own advantage. Makeup collections can be virtually experienced so people can learn about products and either purchase through the app or in-store.

Chief digital officer at L’Oreal Lubomira Rochet said: “Virtual make up, livestreaming, augmented reality shopping are key features in a modern beauty journey that mixes online and offline. These services delight our consumers and increase conversion rates for our brands.”

While you may not operate in the beauty industry, it certainly can’t hurt to see how you could make use of this app or something similar to yield positive results for your own company. The world is your oyster, as they say!
