AeroText from Rocket extracts intelligence from text Print E-mail

Rocket, new owners of the Folio and NXT applications, have announced that they will be integrating their AeroText information extraction suite into Folio and NXT. This powerful application is already available as a stand-alone product for organisations wishing to extract the maximum amount of value from their data stores.

Rocket AeroText solves the problem of data overload by extracting relevant information, such as entities, relationships and events in unstructured text. It identifies and extracts information with an accuracy that matches or exceeds a human's ability to do so, and it also discovers subtle relationships and events within text that might otherwise go undetected. It supports information extraction in multiple languages, can be integrated with other knowledge management tools and can be customised by users to improve extraction accuracy in specific domains.

The suite has three modules covering interface development, core knowledge data extraction and a knowledge-base engine. The software provides a "fast, agile information extraction system for developing knowledge-based content analysis applications. The technology excels at developing a core understanding of content contained within unstructured text, such as emails and documents, as well as an ability to automatically reconcile information cited across multiple documents. Such a capability makes it suited for a variety of applications, from counter-terrorism and law enforcement to business intelligence and enterprise content management."
