Catalysts use the term Electronic Publishing to describe what our customers who publish commercially do. It might more accurately be termed Digital Publishing.
Most of the information systems that Catalysts build for our commercial publisher clients are for content that can best be termed “Professional Reference Information” such as that aimed at subscribers in the professions – lawyer, auditors, accountants etc. Then again these professional subscribers also ‘publish’ themselves - very similar content for consumption by their clients and staff – but not on subscription.
For Catalysts the major difference lies in the element of access control and subscription management. The digital media used are the same, online or offline via CD-ROM or DVD.
Catalysts uses, predominantly, the Rocket Views and NXT software solutions as they are specifically designed for the task. However similar solutions can be designed and built using other technologies listed in our Products section.
Catalysts provides a wide range of services for our clients who use the Rocket products.
